Uplifting Colorado’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Communities

NOMINATE A HERO!

Each year CACEN, in partnership with AANHPI organizations statewide, honors outstanding Asian American heroes during Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May. We’re seeking nominations for individuals—both unsung heroes and active community leaders—making a meaningful impact in Colorado’s Asian communities.

A selection committee will choose 5–6 honorees to be recognized at a dim sum & sushi brunch awards ceremony on Saturday, May 30, 2026, and featured in the May 2026 issue of Asian Avenue magazine.

Submit nominations by Monday, March 9, 2026. Questions? Contact hello@coloradoasian.org.

  • Mile High Asian Food Week (MHAFW) is a week-long celebration of Colorado’s growing AANHPI culinary scene. Foodies can experience different cuisines from AANHPI-owned participating businesses and receive insider perks such as special discounts, secret menu items, specialty menus, and more.

MHAFW is proud to be under the umbrella of the Colorado Asian Culture & Education Network (CACEN). A portion of MHAFW funding will support the 501c3 organization’s mission to elevate AANHPI communities and address inequities through cultural exchange and education.

Thank you for celebrating our 2025 Asian American Heroes with us on May 18!

Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network (CACEN) builds bridges of awareness, knowledge, and understanding between the diverse Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities in Colorado and we work towards equitable opportunities for all.

We are a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2009. In March 2025, we opened the doors to Social Fabric Hub, a cultural and community center, serving Colorado’s AANHPI communities.
